The brief
Pebble launched in 2023 as an all-electric RV from founders who came out of Apple, Tesla and Zoox, backed to rethink how people live and travel off the grid. The product was ambitious and still in stealth, with solar power, automated systems and a design language that had to feel calm rather than technical. Ashfall Studio took on the full brief: brand identity and creative direction, two websites, an iPad control app, and the 3D work that would let people step inside a vehicle that did not yet exist in the world.
The system
The organizing idea, Future Natural, puts advanced technology in service of a simpler life outdoors and sets the tone for every decision. The identity centres on a soft, pebble-shaped flower mark that holds natural geometry and technical precision in one form. Youth by All Caps, a geometric sans with rounded corners, carries the warmth, while Aeonik and Aeonik Fono handle the exact, functional voice. A palette pulled from California, Mojave sand, state-park green and Antelope Valley poppy, keeps the system grounded in the landscape the trailer is built for.
The identity
The brand comes alive as a digital-first experience. Two websites move from stealth teaser to full launch, with 3D visualizations that set the trailer in real California landscapes and an immersive fly-through of the interior. An on and off-grid selector lets people feel the two ways the vehicle lives, while an iPad app turns control into something tactile, with more than twenty custom animated icons for climate, lighting and automated features like InstaCamp and Magic Hitch. The technology stays quiet throughout, always in service of the view out the window.
Outcome
At launch Pebble reached one million users in three months and raised a $13.6M Series A. It took the product from stealth to a launch people remembered, carried by an immersive digital experience built on calm, natural design.
